Description

The 1943 Golden Gloves season is concluding with the national fights at the Chicago Tournament of Champions. The amateur competition is being held at Chicago Stadium in Illinois. Competing for the heavyweight crown is Gene Poletti. Despite being a native of Chicago, Illinois, he is representing Texas in the tournament. The heavyweight is a stationed in Texas with the military. Poletti is shown preparing for a fight, surrounded by a crowd of spectators.
