Description
Lieutenant Louis M. Howell of the Army's Corps of Military Police wants a date for the annual Policemen's Ball at Casino Park. His first choice is Miss Marie Crane, secretary to Police Chief Curry. Lieutenant Howell was commissioned, and has been assigned to Indianapolis. His home is in Butte, Montana. In this picture, he is shown standing behind Miss Crane and covering her eyes with both his hands. His head appears to be leaned in to her ear as he asks her questions about being his date to the ball. He is wearing military uniform while Miss Crane is wearing a sleeve-less dress with a blouse underneath. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 18, 1943.
