At the dedication of Eagle Pass Army Air Field is Colonel John H. Bundy (left), commanding officer of the field shown smiling and greeting Brigadier General Ricardo Nunez, commander of the Mexican Army garrison at Piedras Negras, with a handshake. Brig. Gen. Nunez appears to be holding a rolled up document in his left hand. Next to them is Colonel F. W. Whitney looking on. The airfield control tower can be seen behind them. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 16, 1943.
