Description
Brigadier General Isaiah Davies of San Angelo, Texas is shown speaking behind a podium in front of a large crowd of people, as well as other officials. He is in charge of the bombardier training and the principal speaker for the event. He is wearing military uniform and talking into the microphone. The podium appears to be set on a small platform that is surrounded by a striped railing. An estimate of 15,000 West Texans were in attendance at the dedication despite of freezing weather. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 18, 1943.
