Description

The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Facing off in the semi-final light-heavyweight bout, left to right, are Henry McAdams and Thomas Lenoir. McAdams, of Grand Prairie, Texas, is a seaman in the United States Navy. Lenoir is representing Waco, Texas. In the second round of the brawl, McAdams fired a broadside leading to the knockout of his opponent. Lenoir is shown lying on the canvas as the referee prepares to make the call.
