Description
The 11th ranked University of Texas Longhorns are facing the fifth ranked Georgia Tech University Yellow Jackets in the 1943 Cotton Bowl Classic. A near capacity crowd is in attendance for the New Year's Day match up. During the third quarter of the game, Georgia Tech (dark jerseys) punted to Longhorn tailback Jackie Field. Field is shown breaking across the 35-yard line with one man to beat. Longhorn Zuehl Conoly is throwing a block on Plaster, the last Tech defender. Field scurried down the sidelines 61 yards for the touchdown. The score gave the Longhorns a 14-0 margin. They went on to win their first bowl game, 14-7.
