Description
The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Representing the Beaumont, Texas, district in the tournament is welterweight Morris Corona (left). He is shown in his corner of the ring with his coach. Carona is wearing a warm-up jacket and a towel over his head as he prepares for an upcoming fight. Carona went on to win the tournament and will represent Texas in the welterweight class at nationals. His coach is wearing a suit, coach jacket and eyeglasses.
