Left to right, Mrs. Ruby Ripperton, Mrs. Almeda Joyes, Miss Sula Fleeman and Mrs. Emma Shannon were visitors at the open house held by the Social Service Exchange in observance of National Social Service Exchange Day. The four women are shown standing in front of a filing cabinet, examining a document from one of the drawers. Miss Fleeman is holding up the document while Mrs. Joyes keeps the drawer open and holds another file in her other hand. Both Mrs. Ripperton and Mrs. Shannon are wearing dark skirts and eyeglasses. Mrs. Joyes is wearing a buttoned dress and Miss Fleeman is wearing a striped jacket and skirt. Mrs. Ripperton is from Austin, Texas. She is a tuberculosis advisory nurse of the Texas Tuberculosis Association. Mrs. Joyes is an exchange executive. Mrs. Fleeman is executive secretary of the Fort Worth-Tarrant County Tuberculosis Society. Mrs. Shannon is a consultant nurse of the Fort Worth Public Schools and a board member of the exchange.
