Description

The 1943 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing for the heavyweight crown and representing Fort Worth, Texas, is Aaron Barker (center). He is shown with two of his supporters, Bernice Bell, left, and Clara Jo Mengard. Miss Bell is wearing a button-up blouse, blazer, and a skirt. Mr. Barker is dressed in a suit with a letterman jacket. Miss Mengard is wearing an overcoat. The three Texas Christian University students are walking on a sidewalk. To the right, on the road, are parked cars.
