Description
The 1943 Golden Gloves District Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the semi-finals of the welterweight division, left to right, are Teague Roberts and Robert Thresher. Roberts is a southpaw from the Masonic Home. He is shown just after connecting with a left jab and side-stepping as Thresher rushed. Roberts went on to win the decision. He later fought Corporal Ray Benson to take the district title.
