Description
The Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (W. A. A. C.) is holding a recruiting drive at their headquarters in the mezzanine of the Hotel Texas. Pictured at the recruiting desk, left to right, are Mrs. Mavonne Mayberry and Lieutenant Virginia F. Williams. Mrs. Mayberry is asking for information on the organization, but was turned away because she is under 21 years old. She is wearing a velvet dress. Lieutenant Williams is a recruiter. She is dressed in her uniform. On the wall behind them is a poster that reads, "WAAC Recruiting Headquarters Apply Here."
