Mrs. Thomas N. Sibley, who met her husband while she was visiting at Fort Sam Houston, and her daughter, Sally, are now living at the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas, while Captain Sibley is at Camp Wolters. Mrs. Sibley is sitting at a desk with an arm around Sally, who is sitting on top of the desk. On the desk there is an ink pot and a piece of paper on top of a writing mat. Mrs. Sibley is wearing a dark skirt and a half-sleeve blouse. Sally is wearing a dress and has a bow in her hair. Sally is also holding a toy.
