    Description

    Gail Lucile Meck is the daughter of First Lieutenant and Mrs. Galen E. Meck. She is shown sitting on the ledge of a balcony, with her mother standing beside her. Gail was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where both her parents also were born. After three months in Fort Benning, Lieutenant Meck was joined in Mineral Wells, Texas, at Camp Wolters by his family in March of 1942. Mrs. Meck is wearing a dark blouse with large buttons and a pair of dark trousers. Gail is wearing a dress and a bow in her hair. She is holding a baby doll. In the background some parked cars can be seen and a few buildings.
