    Mrs. M. W. Biggers standing in her kitchen. Mrs. Biggers is wearing an apron over a striped, collared shirt. She is holding a jar filled with cobs of corn. Beside her is a sink with a container inside of it and a plate on the counter next to it. Above the sink is a window with a small curtain. Mr. Biggers (not pictured) is a store keeper in the subsistence branch of the Quartermaster Depot and a mess sergeant and custodian of quarters for the 27th Battalion of the Texas Defense Guard. All 12 members (including sons-in-laws) of the Biggers family are either in the service or engaged in some kind of war work.
