Sergeant Joseph Kotler (left) and Sergeant Bill Barta, both of Camp Wolters, are making a recording to be sent to Kotler's parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. Kotler, of New York City, New York. The recording will be of the story of the sergeants' New Year's Eve celebration. Both men are wearing their military uniforms, and are standing behind a microphone. Two unidentified men in military uniforms are standing at the far right. Behind them is a window with the curtains pulled back.
