    Description

    Several workers in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's fourth floor composing crew are military veterans. Sitting at the Linotype machine and smoking a cigar is W. C. McMahan. Standing behind him is Jesse Derden. Mr. McMahan is a veteran of World War I. He is dressed in a striped button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves and trousers. Mr. Derden is a veteran of the Spanish American War. He enlisted when he was 19 years old. He is wearing a three-piece suit.
