Description
Members of the Upton Close family are enjoying a family reunion in Fort Worth, Texas. Sitting on a couch, left to right, are Private Joseph Washington Close III, Mrs. Upton Close, Mrs. Joseph Washington Close, Upton Close, and Sergeant Louis Close. Mr. Upton Close is a writer and lecturer. He is in town to speak at the Knife and Fork Club. His two sons, Joseph and Louis, are stationed at Army camps in Texas. They received furloughs to attend their father's lecture. Mrs. Joseph Close married into the family six months earlier and is meeting her in-laws for the first time. Private Close and Sergeant Close are wearing their military uniforms.
