Description
Jim Elkins' "ration" car (an old model overhauled and mounted on good tired to furnish transportation at high gasoline mileage) was crushed at Seventh and Henderson Streets when this two-and-one-half ton truck, fully loaded, overturned on it. The truck, driven by William W. Gable, rolled on its side while making a left turn into Seventh. Elkins was working at a nearby automobile firm when the accident occurred. No one was injured. Firemen are shown spraying water on gasoline that leaked from the tank of the overturned truck. It took two hours to upright the vehicle.
