Girls donating hose. Left to right: Misses Edylene Stanford, Joyce Laird, Helen Butz and Anna Lee Fleming. These four young women are donating their silk and nylon hosiery which will be covered into bags for gunpowder to be used in battle. The women are shown in a room, each of them removing their hosiery to deposit it in the donation bin. They appear in good spirits, each laughing and smiling. Two of the women are wearing trousers and tops while the others are wearing dresses.
