Description
"Women at War Week." Doing their share to help the Treasury Department's war bond sales totals hit a new high during "Women at War Week," were, from left to right, Mrs. R. E. Cox, who presided at the luncheon, film actress Ruth Hussey, and Mrs. Lionel Bevan, chairman of the week's general committee. The trio of women are shown arm in arm, exchanging smiles. Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Bevan are both wearing buttoned, long-sleeve dresses with their hair covered by a tied hair scarf. Miss Hussey is wearing a skirt and a buttoned jacket with a patterned blouse underneath and a wide-brimmed hat. Both Mrs. Bevan and Miss Hussey appear to be looking on at Mrs. Cox, while Mrs. Cox looks up at Miss Hussey. Behind the trio is a wall of various flags. In the foreground is a table with a couple glasses set on it.
