Shown here is a copy of photo of the Witt Hotel, Crosby County, Texas. This is one of the two pioneer establishments of Crosby County. In front of the hotel are members of the family. Photograph showing Mr. and Mrs. John M. Witt are standing with their children. This was the home of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Witt. Mr. Witt died in 1927, and Mrs. Witt lives in Lubbock. This old picture belongs to her daughter, Mrs. J. J. Spikes of Floydada. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November 29, 1942.
