Description
A rural scene in oils, by Coreen Mary Spellman of Denton, Texas is one of a varied assortment of exhibits from Texas State College for Women which is represented by jewelry and pottery as well as the art of painting and print making. The show will remain through August. The focus of the painting is a small shack with clothes hanging, two barrels, smoke leaving a chimney, and both logs & tires strewn about. There is a truck-parked just in front of the shack, and a woman just behind the shack appears to be gathering something. A bridge crosses over a stream in the distance.
