Description
Camp Wolters is putting on an Emergency Relief Show called "Life Begins at 5:30". The cast and staff of the musical comedy are being served supper by the Red Cross Canteen Corps before the show. Left to right is a unidentified soldier, Mrs. John Brown, and Corporal Tommy Chavis. Mrs. Brown is the chairman of the corps. She is wearing her Red Cross uniform. Corporal Chavis, of Highland Park, Illinois, is being served steak on a bun. The men are dressed in their military uniforms. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 11, 1942.
