    Description

    The first evening Mass is being held at Camp Wolters. Corporal Eugene F. Nowviskie is assisting Chaplain M. J. O'Brien in distributing Holy Communion to the soldiers. Corporal Nowviskie is wearing a military uniform and Chaplain O'Brien is wearing clerical clothing. The soldiers are kneeling as they take the Communion. There are other mass attendees in the background. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 4, 1942.
