Description

"Chiang Kai-Shek," a Chow Chow, sits with a collection of rubber articles for the Scrap Rubber Campaign being driven by President Roosevelt. "This Chow wasn't named Chiang Kai-Shek for nothing. Since the rubber salvage campaign started, he's been doing his part for his adopted country by collecting all the rubber playthings he finds in the neighborhood and bringing them home to his owner, Mrs. A. C. Cathey, 2127 Warner Road. He also found a pair of ruber beach shoes to add to the collection." Chiang Kai-Shek is sitting next to his prizes, putting them on display.
