    Description

Mrs. Hassell Riley, secretary of the Poolville Cemetery Association, and J. W. McConnell, president, are standing on either side of a well. "Mrs. Hassel Riley... and J. W. McConnell... meet at the well, in use by the town for 50 years, near where a memorial shaft to Poolville's beloved family doctor was dedicated Sunday." Mrs. Riley is wearing a black knee-length dress embellished with a lace collar and sleeves, along with a black fascinator and black lace up shoes. She is holding a box. Her shoes and the pump are both glistening, perhaps indicating recent usage of the pump. Mr. McConnel appears to be holding a glass of water, facing a smiling Mrs. Riley. He is wearing a light button-up shirt, a dark tie, a pair of light colored trousers, a belt, and practical shoes. Parked automobiles and business storefronts are composing the background.
