Description
Mrs. Herman C. Lindsey and her children, Nancy Jo, 7 months, and Ambrose Ray, 4. "Mrs. Herman C. Lindsey is shown with her children, Nancy Jo, 7 months, and Ambrose Ray, 4, all of whom were in the car with Mrs. Lindsey's father, Walter Leroy Gregory, when he swallowed a poison liquid thinking it was a sedative." Mrs. Lindsey is sitting on a couch, holding her young daughter in her lap as her son sits just beside her. Mrs. Lindsey is looking at her daughter with what appears to be an expression of concern. The young girl is wearing a simple dress and she is looking off into the distance. Ambrose Ray is wearing soiled overall and a button-up shirt, looking up into the distance with a look of discernment. Mrs. Lindsey is wearing a light-colored dress, a dark-colored hat with a veil, and hosiery with a run going up the leg. In the background, wallpaper is peeling off of the walls.
