Description
"As the second week of Fort Worth's participation in the nationwide rubber reclamation campaign opened this Monday, this pile of discarded tires was symbolic of the hundreds of scrap rubber collections piling up at filling stations throughout the city. While larger objects such as tires, floor mats and garden hose are important in the drive, the smallest scrap rubber contributions are important, too, in the aggregate." A collection of approximately 40 automobile tires is lying in what appears to be a vacant lot, awaiting collection. At least 6 more tires can be seen at the building corner in the top right of the image. Several automobile tires still attached to their carriers can also be seen. These tires have a few more miles to go before joining the pile.
