Description
"Survey by the Star-Telegram photographer for scrap rubber in Tarrant County found this discarded tire hanging on a fence post north of Fort Worth. N. C. McGill of Route 9, is shown looking at the tire, which is scheduled to go into the melting pot of the scrap rubber drive to be launched by President Roosevelt within 10 days." Mr. McGill is standing and holding a tire through a fence post. He is looking at the tire with what seems to be admiration. He is wearing a wrinkled button-up shirt, dirty pants, a belt, and a short-brimmed hat. He is standing next to a barbed wire fence. In the background are two silos and a windmill.
