Description
Second deep discovery within the past week for the Continental Oil Company in Montague County is it's number 1 Penn, block 59, A. E. Topper survey, opening the first Viola, Upper Ordovician pool, in North Texas. Curtis Phipps. Left, and Frank Wilson working on a line. Mr. Phipps and Mr. Wilson and kneeling down behind a line posing for the camera. Mr. Phipps is smoking a cigarette that is hanging from his mouth with an oil stain smeared across the side. Mr. Wilson is smiling happily. Both men are wearing hats, gloves, and oil stained clothing. There appears to be a low treeline in the background.
