Description
Best ball of 61, 11 under par, gave this foursome first place in North Texas pro-amateur sweepstakes at Rockwood Golf Course. In the picture, left to right, Skeet Fincher, Bill Rogers, J. R. (Son) Taylor and Charles Royer sitting behind a counter. Each are wearing a hat and holding a Coca-Cola in glass bottle. There is a pepper shaker and pencil also on the counter. Fincher has a cigarette in his left hand. Rogers is wearing a band on the ring finger of his left hand. Prizes were paid in war stamps. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 11, 1942.
