Description
Army Day Easter celebration and exhibition. Shown here is a machine gun crew from Company D, 155th Infantry, 31st Division. that was a big attraction at the exhibition Sunday afternoon at Farrington Field. Kneeling is Corporal (Corp.) T. Griffith and at the gun are Private (Pvt.) Eugene Wylie, left, and Private (Pvt.) Charles Ross. All are wearing uniforms. The Dixie Division soldiers arrived Saturday and will participate in Monday's Army Day parade. Some soldiers are lying on the ground, and each is peering through two boxes. In the right center of the photograph, a young boy is standing and looking into the camera. In the background, jeeps, other soldiers, pup tents, and other temporary shelters are filling the scene.
