    Description

The Girls Service League is right at home in the Pennsylvania Avenue mansion. In the former years, the elegant place was the Winfield Scott Home. Now the 18 rooms serve as dormitories and the spacious grounds offer recreation spots for the girls. Pictured inside one of the dormitories are Dorothy Harris and Sybil Bicknell. Dorothy is studying in the bottom bunk. She is wearing a dress with a floral pattern. Sybil is climbing the ladder of the bunk-bed. She is dressed in a robe.
