Flying X Ranch Boys performing on WBAP-TV, 1948. The Flying X Ranch Boys made history as the first musical group to perform on television in Texas on WBAP-TV's premiere program on September 29, 1948. The group performed regularly on Saturday nights as the headliners of a program sponsored by Philco.
