    Description

    The first concrete goes down on the west half of the new Hemphill Street paving, with workmen hard at it in the area between Biddison and Shaw and moving northward at the rate of about 900 feet daily. Image of the brace that construction crews put in place to hold up the space to allow Hemphill street to be cut into. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 27, 1942.
