Description
Soldiers at Camp Bowie now find recreation in one of the finest recreation centers in the country. It's Brownwood's new $69,000 United Service Organization (U. S. O.) Club recently completed and dedicated amid gay festivities. Sergeant J. W. Smith of Houston, left and Corporal Francis Abel of Fort Madison, Iowa, are pictured here. They are shown seated in chairs in a section of the library reading room. Sergeant Smith is holding a pencil. He is submitting a letter for approval to Corporal Abel. They are dressed in military uniforms and smiling. Corporal Able is holding a copy of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram newspaper.
