The Texas Golden Gloves champions are in good spirits as they leave on a train for Chicago, Illinois. The winners of the eight weight classes in the State Tournament are on their way to compete in Nationals. They are, left to right, Marvin Bryant, Eli Katich, J. Olcott Phillips, Tom Attra, Morris Carona, Arlo Roye, Hubert Gray, and Jose Andreas. Bryant is a welterweight from Dallas, Texas. He is wearing a hat, suit, and a coat. Katich is a middleweight out of El Paso, Texas, and a soldier and Fort Bliss. He is dressed in a military uniform. Corporal Phillips is a heavyweight from Camp Bowie and Fort Worth, Texas. He is also dressed in a military uniform. Attra is light-heavyweight from Austin, Texas. He is wearing a coat and trousers. Carona is a lightweight from Port Arthur, Texas. He is dressed in a hat, suit, and a coat. Roye is a San Angelo, Texas, featherweight. He is dressed in a cowboy hat, suit, and a coat. Gray is a bantamweight from Wichita Falls, Texas. He is wearing a hat, coat, and trousers. Andreas is a flyweight from Fort Worth, Texas. He is dressed in a suit and a coat. The fighters are traveling on "The Ranger Sana Fe".
