Description
The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing in the semifinals of the welterweight division are Jack Osteen (facing camera) and Arlo Roye. Osteen, of Fort Worth, Texas, is firmly clasping his opponent in the second round. Roye, a representative of San Angelo, Texas, is attempting to break free. Roye went on to beat Osteen and later won the welterweight title. The referee is shown watching the action in the foreground.
