Description
The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Competing for the light-heavyweight title, left to right, are Walter Barnett and Tom Attra. Barnett is a soldier at Camp Bowie and is representing Brownwood, Texas, in the tournament. The boxers are pictured in the third round, both bleeding from head cuts. The brawl was close all the way, but in the end Attra won the decision and the light-heavyweight crown.
