Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Facing off in the featherweight division, left to right, are Charles Guetzon and Arlo Roye. Guetzon is representing San Benito, Texas. Roye, of San Angelo, Texas, is the defending featherweight champion. Early in the second round, Guetzon ran into this punch from Roye. Guetzon is shown falling to the ground, his hair on end from the force of the blow. The referee counted him down on the knockout.
