Description

The 1942 Golden Gloves State Tournament is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Sports writers from every part of Texas are gathering for the annual tournament. Many of them help sponsor teams in their home districts and arrange for their champions to make the trip to Fort Worth, Texas. Sitting at a ringside table, behind a typewriter, left to right, are Jerry Malin and Fred Maly. Mr. Malin is a reporter with the Amarillo Globe-News. He is dressed in a three piece suit. Mr. Maly is with the San Antonio Evening News. He is wearing a hat and a suit. A crowd of people are sitting in the stands in the background.
