    Image shows Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Stout of Handley, Texas, compiling figures with Ben Merritt, left, of the First National Bank of Handley, on the amount of defense bonds they have purchased for their son, Jack, and themselves since the outbreak of the war. Including the two bonds on the desk, the Stouts have bought $325 in bonds since the outbreak of the war. Mr. Stout is wearing a suit, his wife is wearing a dress and a hat, and Mr. Merritt is wearing a collared shirt, necktie and vest. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition February 3, 1942.
