Description
The 90th Infantry Division has joined the training facility at Camp Barkeley in Abilene, Texas. The new 90th Division inherits the pride and tradition of a World War I outfit that fought with valor and was known as the "Alamo Division". Commanding officer Major General Henry Terrell Junior has a staff chock-full of Texas natives. Colonel Eustis L. Poland is the chief of staff. He was born in Massachusetts, but his wife is a native of Galveston, Texas which he says makes him half-Texan. Colonel Poland is sitting at his desk, dressed in his military uniform. Papers are spread across his desk and he is holding his eyeglasses.
