Movie star Judy Garland is in Mineral Wells, Texas to visit Camp Wolters and appear in a U. S. O. Show. The famous Wizard of Oz actress is posing for a picture with Brigadier General Emil F. Reinhart, center, and Mayor J. C. Miller. Miss Garland led a parade of 2,000 school children to the post office to purchase defense stamps. She is wearing a bow in her hair, a suit with lace around the collar, and a fur jacket over her shoulders. General Reinhart is the commander of Camp Wolters. He is dressed in his military uniform. Mr. Miller is the Mayor of Mineral Wells, Texas. He is dressed in a double breasted suit and holding his hat. The men were the reception committee and received the children purchasing defense stamps are the post office. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 31, 1942.
