Description
One of the 21 fire trucks which sounded warning sirens for the blackout is shown here. This one is at Central Fire Station with H. K. Pitts, sitting in a truck at the fire station and Lieutenant J. P. Pettyjohn is standing on the running board beside him. The two men are wearing uniforms with ties and hats. The truck has a Fort Worth Fire Department logo on the driver's side door. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 20 1942.
