Boxers in the Fort Worth, Texas, area are preparing for the 1943 Golden Gloves District Tournament. The competition will be held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Training at the Panther Boys Club, left to right, are Robert Thresher, Wayne Penn, Johnny Salez, and Robert Balew. Thresher is wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Penn is dressed in a "Container Corp." sweatshirt and sweatpants. Salez is wearing boxing trunks, headgear, and gloves. Balew is dressed in a number seven jersey and trousers.
