    Description

    Amateur boxers from all around the area are preparing for the 1942 Golden Gloves District Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. Three of the challengers in the tournament, left to right, are Henry Miller, Joe Henderson, and William Davis. Miller is a 17-year-old student at Paschal High School. He weighs 130 pounds, but will train down to the featherweight division. Henderson is a newcomer to the Golden Gloves. Davis is a 16-year-old student at Paschal High School. He weighs 125 pounds and will compete in the featherweight division. All three boys are standing in front of a wall, shirtless, wearing trousers.
