    Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. Pearson, Indianapolis, Iowa, who paid $12,500 for the grand champion Hereford bull in the auction at Silver Creek Farms, owned by the Ellison Estate, Tuesday. This is the top price paid for a beef animal in more than 20 years anywhere in the United States. The couple are standing in front of a fire place. Mrs. Pearson is wearing a jacket with large buttons from which a light-colored collar is peeking out. She is also wearing a wide-brim hat. Mr. Pearson is wearing a houndstooth jacket, a sweater vest, and a medium-toned button-up, a belt, and pants. They are standing next to each other.
