Description

Shown are two firemen who were promoted recently. They are, left to right, W. T. Snipes and J. W. Buckland. These men figured in Saturday's Fire Department shifts announced by Chief Killian to fill vacancies created by retirement of three battalion chiefs and one fireman. Lieutenant Snipes was elevated to captain. Captain Buckland was transferred to instructor duties. Mr. Snipes is wearing uniform of long-sleeve shirt, dark necktie and trousers. Mr. Buckland is wearing a suit and tie. Both men are standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling for the camera. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, January 4, 1942.
