Description
The Alabama Crimson Tide are facing off against the Texas A&M Aggies in the 1942 Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. The Crimson Tide represents the Southeastern Conference while the Aggies represent the Southwestern Conference. The Aggies opened up the scoring on New Year's Day with a touchdown pass to Harold Cowley (83). The big end caught a pass on the six yard-line from Leo Daniels and ran wide to the northwest corner of the field. Despite scoring first, the Aggies threw seven interceptions and lost 29-21. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, January 2, 1942.
